Of all things not business and leadership related:
The open-faced savory croissant at Boulted Bread is a thing of culinary beauty and taste. Ricotta spread topped with roasted delicata squash and maple-caramelized onions. I would list all the other yummies that this scratch bakery cranks out, but that would be the entire blog.
Ms. Swift has changed the drop date for the re-recording of Red to November 12th. Looking forward to hearing what she does with “All Too Well,” a song that was originally ten minutes, cut to far fewer, and has reportedly been lengthened for the re-recording. Storytelling Swift at her best.
On repeat as I write: Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers.”
Stacked these days:
The Giver of Stars, Jojo Moyes
The Splendid and the Vile, Erik Larson (begun earlier this year, pulled back in)
And speaking of storytelling, among the best stories I heard this week: My friend, let’s call her Jayne, who is 75 and fell — at age 70 – for the love of her life, after considerable, earlier-in-life heartache, for both she and her guy. She told me with a solid, knowing smile that she’s the happiest she’s ever been.
Have a good week, peeps.
