Strategies for business leaders
Practical, actionable, with a hint of inspiration. Every week in your inbox.
About me, my story
Leadership has the power to elevate everything that it touches.
That’s why I do what I do.
I love seeing talented and successful leaders who want to make a difference get even better and have a bigger impact.
Clients will tell you that I’m practical, strategic, and help them get what they want.
They say that I’m able to take 30,000’ concepts like leadership and influence and make them into 5000’ targeted action plans. They’ll tell you that my approach is tailored rather than templated, that I see the whole person. They say that I get to the heart of the matter immediately so they can achieve their goals.
The results? Based on my experience, the results are things that matter to you. When we partner, you’ll grow your organization and business units, increase revenues, enter new markets, land big promotions, lead larger initiatives, get out of the weeds, spend more time on your critical priorities, have far greater influence, and grow your bench strength from adequate to outstanding.
And, your quality of life will improve. You’ll be happier, more satisfied. Less stressed.
I am an entrepreneur, a business person, and I bring that to every client I work with.
Before launching my consulting practice, I took a start-up greenhouse operation from scratch to significant success. That knowledge and experience is always running in the background; I call it my business brain.
But I don’t only look through that lens.
Because human performance is human.
And sometimes an outside perspective, a trusted guide, with the right words at the right time, is just what we need.

What else would clients tell you?
That I have a weakness for new shoes and old dogs. That given the choice between running on a treadmill or a trail, I’ll always pick outside. And that I’m equally serious about helping them as I am about laughing at myself.
Curious About Your Own Leadership? Take The Inventory.
For immediate feedback on your own leadership, you can take the Magnificent Leadership® Inventory. It’s designed to spotlight the critical areas of your growth as your business grows. And it’s free to you. It’s also a great way for us to get to know one another better.
Because hearing the stories of others can be so powerful, in 2012 I created The Making Magnificence Project® to talk with leaders of all kinds about the challenges they faced in addition to the triumphs they experienced. That conversation series became a business leadership book, Magnificent Leadership, which Marshall Goldsmith calls, “A great read for all leaders and leaders-to-be.” Go here to listen to the Making Magnificence Project®, new episodes are being added all the time.
