Of all things not business and leadership related.

Pulling:

Off the shelf: Nick Malgieri’s Great Italian Desserts for its incomparable tiramisu recipe.  Keep that whisk moving when making the Zabaione, and all will be well.

Rededicating:

To winter running.  Everything’s just better when the legs are turning over, tunes playing, lungs inhaling. The weather’s been so fantastic here in Raleigh, but January’s coming.  I’m on the prowl for new running tights to stay warm, so if you have suggestions, send ‘em.

Reading:

You know how great it is to have a novel waiting?  I’m halfway through this one and reading it bit by bit because I don’t want it to end.  If you’re looking for something to read, or are in gift-buying mode, check out this list.

Munching:

On just about anything this place is cranking out these days (see Rededicating).  If I had to choose just one thing that is most outstanding, it would be difficult.

Wearing:

Invitation to black-tie celebration in NYC for spring?  Accepted.  How this works during a pandemic (cocktail dress and a mask?) I’m not exactly sure, but I do know – exactly — that the Manolos are coming.  Woot!

Listening:

To everything from Flo Rida to Luke Combs to Creed to Ms. Swift’s 10 minute, newly-released “All Too Well” performed here on SNL.  If you’ve ever had a badly broken heart, Storytelling Swift has captured it.  And she did it at 21.

Deciding:

On which organizations for additional giving as the year comes to a close.  So many –people, animals, natural places — are in severe need.

Reviewing and Writing Down:

The year.  What transpired, joyful and challenging.  What mattered most.  What to carry forward, what to leave behind.  Where to pour my time, energy, creativity, determination, imagination, excitement, love, attention, and hope for 2022.  What I’d most like to be writing this time next year.

Watching:

SATC.  Not the movies or the new iteration.  The one-and-only original.

Queuing:

Cruella.  Both Emmas.  Bam.

Sending my best wishes to you for a Holiday Season rich in all the ways that are meaningful to you.  I will return to the blog on January 3rd.  In the meantime, you can sign up for any of my offerings at a 20% discount until December 31st.  That only happens once a year.  Happy 2022!
