Of all things not business and leadership related.

Anticipating:

Ben Fountain’s new book, Devil Makes Three, due out September 26th.  Of all the people that I’ve interviewed for The Making Magnificence Project®, it is Ben who reminds me of the courage to stretch and fail and keep stretching.

Speaking:

Of The Project, Ian Kerner is in the queue this week for an interview, just in time for Valentine’s Day.  Stay tuned for the release date.

Watching:

The Mindy Project on Netflix and am totally hooked.  With 6 seasons, there’s plenty to take in.  And after finding and loving Mindy Kaling’s brand new show, The Sex Lives of College Girls, I had to find another of her creation.

Shipping:

Esaczu chocolates for Valentine’s Day.  They’ve outdone themselves this year with flavor selections.  (My favorite is the almond caramel.)  If you’re local to the Triangle, there’s still time to make your purchase by visiting the store.  If you’re elsewhere in the country, you can go online and ship after the holiday when they re-open.

Listening:

To several podcasts and stumbled on a great interview with Stan Tatkin whose psychobiological approach to relationships has my curiosity.  And just cracked one of his books.

Looking:

Forward to finally getting back to attending The Monti in person this year.  Been too long.

Recommending:

The Gladly in Phoenix where I had the most creative and yummy chopped salad, something that their chef is known for.  Also telling anyone who will listen about Rezdora in NY.  One of the best meals I’ve had outside of Italy.  Truly outstanding.  Make a rez in advance, but if you chance it and they can’t accommodate you for a little bit (as happened to me), go across the street to Gramercy Tavern for a drink first and see what that famous Danny Meyer hospitality is all about.  Talk about leadership.

Shopping:

From the studio of my friend and jewelry artisan, Christine Jones.  She’s so good at matching person to style.  I never know what I’m going to find and what we’ll create but know it will be original.

Have a great week, peeps.  And Happy Valentine’s Day!
