The organization or business unit that you need to steer, the meetings only you can have, the deals you can close, the alliances you need to build, the P&L you’re responsible for, the public appearances you’re the face of, the vision that you must set, the initiatives your name is attached to, as examples.

One of the most likely causes of the quicksand effect?

A team that isn’t able to function, execute, and pivot without your constant oversight and direction.
