Readiness is important if we’re beginning coaching (or any worthwhile endeavor).

It signals that we’re open to what comes next.

Excited, even.

It does not mean we’re undaunted.

But our pull to explore is greater than our fear to hold back.

‘The right time’ is different.

That’s what we say to kick the can.

It’s an excuse.

To ourselves and to others.

Being able to tell the difference is important.

Readiness is internal and our bedrock.

‘The right time’ is external and circumstantial.

‘The right time’ makes us subject to change.

Readiness makes us the drivers of change.
