After a two year pandemic hiatus, I’ve returned to barre class.

Although there is kinesthetic memory, it will be awhile – months, really – before I’m fully proficient again, strong enough.

And recognizing that distance, it’s tempting to think that more is more.

But this morning I was reminded that most of the work happens within inches.

Often, just an inch.

Those small, controlled movements build a counterintuitive strength and flexibility.

What small shift, rather than a sweeping change, can you make — in your priorities, your team, your presence, your influence, your team, your delegation, as examples — that will make you infinitely more capable and flexible?

What’s the work that can happen within an inch?
