By office politics or powerplays or egos or territories or anything that distracts you from delivering on what your value really is, drop the rope.

And instead put that time, energy, and attention into excelling in your role, making sure that you’re in alignment with — and accountable to — your superior.

And then give it some time and watch what happens.

It’s a bit of a trick, this shift.

But, time and again, I’ve seen with clients that it really works.
