1. Ask for their input
  2. Receive it
  3. Implement what you can
  4. Repeat.

If you don’t ask, it gives the impression that you don’t want to know.

If you don’t receive, it gives the impression that you don’t care.

And if you ask and receive but don’t implement, it will give the message that the effort to speak up, to contribute, and to bring best ideas is for naught and you will get less of all of those things over time.
