  • Do your research.  Not just on content preparation but on the stakeholders, both inside and outside the room, who will have influence.  Be able to anticipate and answer questions and objections.  Concisely and thoroughly.
  • Know the minimum you want to get from the meeting, as well as the maximum, and prepare for both.
  • Check your intention.  What’s driving you before you walk into the room?  Is it in alignment with your minium and maximum?  Or will it derail you?
