Like strategic leadership, is made of only a few ingredients.
Which makes their identification and execution critical.
Strategic Leadership, as I describe it to clients and this morning’s audience at the NC Bankers Fusion Forum, has 3 spheres:
- Accurate Prioritization
- Influence and Execution
- Inspiration and Vision
There’s more than a bit that goes into each, but a key essential from the spheres:
Accurate Prioritization: What are the metrics that you are measured by and responsible for?
Influence and Execution: Who are the 3-5 stakeholders (more if you’ve got a direct relationship with the Board) whom you need to influence to have success moving critical initiatives forward?
Inspiration and Vision: What are you doing – repeatedly and consistently – to tie your people to the meaning and impact of their work and the overall mission of your organization?

Heads up! There is only 1 seat that remains for the upcoming Magnificent Leadership® Executive Forum LIVE Event in Raleigh on October 5+6. We kick off with a cocktail reception on the 5th and have a full day’s program on the 6th with guest speakers Nick Schacht, Chief Strategy Officer at SHRM, and Janet Bridges, VP of Corporate Accounting and Finance at Chick-fil-A. Two key ingredients of Strategic Leadership are continuous learning and getting outside input. You’ll find both at this unique business leadership event that is designed for real conversations behind closed doors.
