Like strategic leadership, is made of only a few ingredients.
Which makes their identification and execution critical.
Strategic Leadership, as I describe it to clients and this morning’s audience at the NC Bankers Fusion Forum, has 3 spheres:
- Accurate Prioritization
- Influence and Execution
- Inspiration and Vision
There’s more than a bit that goes into each, but a key essential from the spheres:
Accurate Prioritization: What are the metrics that you are measured by and responsible for?
Influence and Execution: Who are the 3-5 stakeholders (more if you’ve got a direct relationship with the Board) whom you need to influence to have success moving critical initiatives forward?
Inspiration and Vision: What are you doing – repeatedly and consistently – to tie your people to the meaning and impact of their work and the overall mission of your organization?
